Women Warriors’ Healing Garden raises, ethically and organically, rare Icelandic Landrace chickens. The flock is hand raised through the good care of participants and volunteers. We have a "no slaughter" policy. All of our chickens live their lives in peace and security in their large 10x10 coop known as "Chateau Poule." Eggs are shared, pickled, given to charity or hatched.
Participants will learn to care for the needs of a 12-bird chicken flock, including integrating the flock into the garden ecosystem.
